Create a Portfolio

To begin your portfolio project, write a few paragraphs about yourself. Try to describe yourself and your interests as if the person who will read this knows nothing about you.

After you have described yourself, go back and read what you wrote.

  • What stands out as things that are important to you?
  • Did you write about your family?
  • Did you include:
    • sports or clubs you are involved in?
    • hobbies or interests?
    • school or educational experiences?
    • volunteer work or community involvement?

Your “About Me” story should give you an idea about what things are most important to you. The things you mentioned likely play big roles in your life, and you should consider including them in your portfolio.
